Do you need your password?! -
Registered users of Famtree v4.30 and later versions
will NOT need to re-input their passwords to enable version 4.43, but users
of versions earlier than 4.30 will need their password to activate
version 4.43 - so, if you have mislaid your password, please
to be reminded of it, BEFORE
downloading the upgrade.
Download and Installation Instructions
for all versions of Microsoft Windows - WINDOWS VISTA USERS are
asked to please read and follow these instructions carefully!

Click on a download link below.

Click on 'Save' in the browser download dialog which appears

Select and note the name of the folder into which you are downloading, and
click on 'Save' (make sure the 'close this dialog box when download
completes' box is NOT ticked).

When the download is complete - then
-
WINDOWS VISTA USERS should click on the 'OPEN FOLDER' button
(some browsers have a 'FIND FILE' button instead, or already have the file
list on display) and locate file famtzi443.exe; RIGHT click on the
file name and select 'Run as Administrator'.

WINDOWS XP USERS should just click on the 'Run' button to start the
installation process.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the unzipping and installation
process - the default settings will install the Famtree program, the Famtree
Manual, and some example files in a folder called Program Files/Famtree v4,
and place a Famtree icon in your Programs list. (Note - Some
Windows 98 and 2000 users may see an instruction that some system files need
upgrading; this is normal - just follow the instructions about
re-booting).
